Grandparents are the family’s greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, the greatest storytellers, and the keepers of tradition. Grandparents are the family’s strongest foundation. Through their special love and care, grandparents keep a family close to the heart.
To honour them, Ngf Junior School, Malviya Nagar celebrated Grandparents Day on Saturday, 6th February 2023. The event was graced with the special presence of Mrs Protima Parbhakar. Principal of the school, Ms Vanita Masih addressed the gathering and reiterated the role of Grandparents in all our lives, as Grandparents are “ A little bit parent, a little bit of a teacher and a little bit of a friend”.
The little tots of Class 2 came up with scintillating performances as they danced to the melodious tunes of songs based on the themes of Disco. The performances by students left the spectators spellbound and thoroughly mesmerized. The students also dedicated a special singing performance to all the grandparents. Grandparents whole heartedly participated in the activities organized by the School like pop the balloons, bindi challenge, cup pyramid, string the beads and drop the balls. Various gifts were given as prizes and mementos to the Grandparents.
The event culminated with a vote of thanks given by Ms Ankita which was followed by the school anthem and National Anthem.
